Jubilant Jumping Pit Bull

Roscoe - the Jubilant Jumping Pit Bull
"Play hard and sleep harder."

At 70 pounds, Roscoe is mostly muscle and all heart. Whether he's playing disc golf or jumping hurdles in flyball or diving in a competition or just goofing around the park, Rosco loves everything athletic. If it involves his favorite, a ball, any ball, especially tennis balls, he's ready to give it his all.

Among his doggy friends, Roscoe is often the calm one, eager to show how sweet and loving a well trained pit bull can be. Although, he can be very persistent as well.  Like the time he was so disappointed that his guy Cody wasn't taking him for a walk, and he dragged Cody's mother, on her heels, for an entire block just to get back to his guy.

All that running and jumping and tail wagging makes for one tired pup at the end of the day, and Roscoe cherishes his role as a solid and immovable cuddle bug.

Roscoe is more concerned with fun than first place as his coach, Cody, watches him dive.

Zen Zoned Pug

Benny - the Zen Zoned Pug
"I prefer to call them laugh lines."

When Benny's Air Force family received orders to take flight without him, this scrappy dog landed on his feet with the Midwest Pug Rescue. Of course, his foster family had to adopt him. Just look at that adorable face!

Although you'll most often find him playing statue and barely moving, Benny does have some curly-tail wagging adventures with his best friend Buddy.

Deep in his tough, little heart Benny knows that he could have been an award winning actor. When you call his name, he stops, perks up his ears, and slowly turns to look at you with all the drama of a soap opera star.

Benny occasionally keeps up his stunt-dog skills by leaping off the couch and flying over the end table in a single bound to land victoriously in the recliner for a nice long meditation nap.

Silly Spokesbird Macaw

Tango - the Silly Spokesbird Macaw

"Peacocks aren't the only ones who like to strut their pretty plumage."

At just eighteen years old (Macaws can live for over 75 years) Tango has found his place in the world  working as a spokesbird to educate young and old on the joys and responsibilities of living with birds. Tango travels, with his flock of fellow parrots, around the Twin Cities greeting people with his stunning display of colorful feathers at birthday parties, hardware stores, and convention centers.

Tango also plays host to birds, cats, dogs, and other small creatures who stay at his house for an animal holiday.

Weighing just over two pounds (1,200 grams), Tango is full of sweetness and trust. This silly bird often talks up a storm and although he really loves his jobs as spokesbird and host what he truly enjoys is feeding the squirrels.

Endless Eyelashes Goldendoodle

Henry - the Endless Eyelashes Goldendoodle
"I get so excited when I see kids that I wag my entire backend!"

You can't see them under his crown of fluffy golden curls, but Henry has eyelashes so long they have to get trimmed regularly. As a Golden Retriever and Poodle mix with a busy social schedule, Henry goes to the groomer often to keep both his wavy fur and his long eyelashes out of his eyes.

This dog on the go loves rides in the car and sticking his head out the window for a good sniff of the world. He's even figured out how to lower the car window all on his own.

You may see him around town at the library reading with kids, at the university chilling out with stressed students, or at an obedience competition showing off his skills. At just three years old Henry has earned his first novice ribbon for doing things like coming when called, healing, touching, and walking in a figure eight.

The thing that truly sets Henry apart is his absolute love of children. Not only does his tail thump like a bass drum, but his entire backend shakes with excitement when a child enters the room.

Colossal Couch Potato Dane

Jade - the Colossal Couch Potato Dane
"Everyone needs a place of their own. Just don't take my place on the couch."

Jade, the six-year-old Great Dane, demonstrates her greatness with all the calm grace of a gentle giant.

In fact, this 118 pound beauty, never lets anything rattle her, except that one squirrel who always taunts her. Jade hates squirrels.

She loves her couch. Jade enjoys sitting on the couch like a human, with her bottom on the cushion, her back paws planted on the floor, and her front leg draped over the arm rest. And forget about trying to steal her favorite spot. Jade will look down on you and glare at you with the full confidence that you will move out of her rightful spot on the couch.

She may be gentle, but this giant usually gets what she wants.

Well-mannered Winter Husky

Neiko - the Well-mannered Winter Husky
"I silently stalk deer."

Famous for their running ability as sled dogs, this Siberian Husky tried to make a break for it on her adoption day. Luckily Neiko was found, and she's been a very good dog ever since then.

Mostly good. There was that time she opened the side door and walked out of the house on a mission. Of course her mission was to find her people and hang out with them in the garage. Neiko has a mind of her own, but it's usually focussed on how she can please her team of people, especially her Momma, Rebecca.

While most Huskies enjoy a good howl, Neiko prefers to keep silent. She has mastered the art of patience. This serves her well when she lets out her inner wolf to chase deer through the snow.

Frisky Following Harlequin

Rascals - the Frisky Following Harlequin

"I give new meaning to the term Sock Hop!"

Rascals believes with his full, bunny heart that he should live up to his name. As a Harlequin rabbit, Rascals happily acts the part of a clown, putting on a show of acrobatic flips in the air and daring feats of people climbing.

His favorite activity involves chasing people around his house like a puppy. Watch out if Rascals catches you. He'll claim your socks and toes as his prize!

This super soft, 3 pound, bundle of energy also possesses the curiosity of a cat. On the night he escaped from his pen, Rascals didn't hop for the hills or scavenge in the kitchen. He followed the sound of his favorite person into the bathroom and quietly watched her get ready for bed. Rascals is known for being a bit nosy, and as a growing bunny, his frisky interests have caused a few... let's say awkward moments.
